Charleston: Published by Authority of The Southern Jurisdiction of the U.S., Dated A˚M˚ 5641. (**Date of first Hardcover edition 1881) Very Good Condition. By far the most in-depth and informative Masonic manual ever. Originally published in 1871-2 in sections, it has remained "the" source for Masonic study of the Occult, Kabala, Knights Templar and the Ancient Wisdoms. I often thought the title was given to steer interest away from the uninitiated, but the word Dogma is used in its true sense, of Doctrine, or Teaching. The first 3 degrees of Freemasonry are the original Stone Masons degrees, the additional degrees of Scottish Masonry embody the Knights Templar doctrines. This book remained the same until it was cut and sanitized in the 1950's, this edition was printed in 1920.  A well preserved copy. Pages clean, white and bright. Hinges are solid and binding is tight. Although not as scarce as some of the highly illustrated Masonic books of old, this one is an education in itself, as it was intended. For those of the craft who seek the deeper meanings of the rituals and an understanding of the occult aspects, including Kabala, Ancient Doctrines and the sources of Arcane Wisdom; This is it.
