Up for auction is a real photo postcard featuring a panorama shot of a boxing match in Coblenz, Germany at the end of World War I. The caption on the card reads: Murray Rooner 20 Round Bout July 4, 1919 Coblenz Germany. The card is postally unused, in good condition, a little bit of curl on the corders, but the central image is not impacted. The photo has turned a bit to sepia tone, buit shows good detail of the boxers and referee in the ring, with hundreds of soldiers and a few others watching the match. Not sure who Murray / Roomer was/were, but there was a noted English boxer with the last name of Murray in the 1910s-20s. The US Army sponsored boxing matches as recreational activities a lot in the early 1900s....I think this may have been one of those. Buyer pays $1.05 shipping and handling in the US.
