This listing is one of several in a bundle of pens from an old estate clearance which included Parker pens, [Lucky curve, Victory and Vacumatic], Mabie Todd, Watermans etc. in early forms of Eye droppers, Chatelaine, and Safety pens. Apart from a gentle cleaning of years of grime, all these pens are in,’ as found original condition’ and may well require professional overhaul, new ink sacks etc. Where faults are known, these are listed and the images will attempt to clarify condition. These pens are by Sheaffer of Canada and Swan, England; both complete black pens with impressed details on the barrel. The last patent date of 3 is 1914 on the Sheaffer, and Swan patent Rg. No. is 390585 being a later pen. The original Sheaffer’s gold nib is marked 5-30. The screw cap is fine with clip and band showing very little wear. Some scruffing is noted on the barrel of this pen where the cap is placed during use. This pen measures 14 cm. in length with no cracks or chips, so it is in very nice collectable condition. The Swan pen is also in nice undamaged condition. This is a lever-less model with a Swan No. 2. 14 ct. gold nib. Again, there is a little brassing to the top of the highest gold filled cap band the pen measuring 13 cm. As with most in this collection this pen will certainly require a new ink sack.
