This original example of 1920's fine sculpture is one of, if not the best Molins - Balleste art work we have yet had the pleasure to encounter.
This beautifully elegant lady displays Molins-Balleste talents at his finest. Incredibly detailed and executed bronze figurine mounted on a green marble plinth which rests on a larger plinth of rose/white marble.
The charming features of the lady's face have caused many of us here to speculate at the likeness to several well known personalities, we will leave it up to you to decide who she reminds you of.
Molins-Balleste
Enrique Molins-Balleste born in Barcelona (Spain) but spent most of his time in Paris (France). Using different variations of his surname he would sign pieces either BAL, Balleste or Molins. Renowned for his figural pieces this artist portrayed many group pieces and theatrically set items.
