1920s Brass Black Elite Leedy Snare Drum W/Etching
This is a vintage (1920s?) signed Leedy, (on the rim) brass snare drum, measuring about 5 by 14.5 inches. It features an 8 lug design and fancy etching surrounding the center. Hard to photograph, but it is there. I am told that this is a Black Elite Model. You can see the dark color on the inside through the hole. It is missing the spring setup, for the snare sound, but still has the the lever mechanism. The drum is in good condition, except for minor tarnish. Needs polish, if you are of such a mind, or possibly re-patinated black. The heads are quite old. Possibly original. They could be. This is a great old drum.
