This lithographed, embossed label was originally printed to cover a 2 lb can of Tomato Sauce Pork and Beans packed the Edgett-Burnham Company of Newark, NY, under the Burnham Brand.

The printed date of the label is an estimate from a printer's packing slip found among the labels.
This light yellowed background label has gold gilt edges, with a downward scallop effect, which are embossed. The Burnham and Pork & Beans lettering is in bright red with a gold gilt edging and is also embossed. Tomato Sauce lettering is in Navy blue. The sword and shield mark has a navy blue background with white lettering and is edged with more gilt. The turquoise dish has a gold floral design around it. The beans are various shades of tan, with the "pork" in white with red stripes to resemble bacon. The shield and the dish of beans are also embossed.
The "Capt. Burnham" picture is in navy blue and country blue against a white background, all within a red circle. The circle edging is embossed. Red lettering around the circle proclaims "Trademark registered in U.S. Patent Office". Above this circle in navy blue lettering - "Guaranteed under the Food and Drugs Act, June 30, 1906. Serial No. 1575"
This would make a great kitchen print once matted and framed.
Label measures 14" in length by 4-1/2 wide.
