Cloth hardback in a forest green with black lettering and illustration on cover, black and white photos throughout. Published under the direction of George W, Saunders, President of The Old Trail Drivers Association.. HOWES H816, BASIC TEXAS BOOKS #99, REESE #61, HERD #1103.Described as" perhaps the most important single contribution to the history of cattle driving on the western trails." 496pp, photos. Two volumes total, this is the first edition of the second volume. First volume was published 1920.
There are FIVE PAGES of table of contents at the back of the book--more than 200 stories in all*!
Has wear but no major defects. Partial rip on page 491. Blank page next to the back end paper is torn off about one quarter depth of the page. Light rubbing on all corners. End papers are cracked at the joint as seen in photo and spine has been glued it appears but the hinges are solid, no missing pages, one pencil written name on front end paper, some foxing and yellow toning on outer edges of pages.
