Very important early glass paste vase. THIS ONE IS THE BEST ONE WE EVER HAVE SEEN OR WHAT EVER HAD BEEN PUBLISHED! All calcedonia techniques are combined. The base lets the light go through!
Made by using the famous and well published calcedonia glass.
Similar pieces were sold for over 7000-8000 USD. (PLEASE google).
This pieces cames from a reasonable private collection and has still the
vintage original lable on which dates it to the year 1925 +/- a few years.
It is most probably designed by Napoleone Martinuzzi.
Executed by Cappelin Venini and Co, M.V.M. or C.V.M.
It could also be dated earlier and made by Lorenzo Radi per Salviati
between the year 1860-1871. Radi reenforced this kind of glass.
We have found this information in a brochure "stazione Sperimentale del Vetro"
handed over by Mr. Toso from Fratelli Toso. He said that his company has also
sold and made lots of calcedonia glasses in the beginning of the 20th century
to the trading company in Veniece written on the lable.
Quite reasonable sizes: Stands 11 2/3 inches high. (29,5 cm)
Perfect condition with only minor age wear under the bottom.
Old pontil, not polished.
Shipping weight will be approx. 2,9 kilo.
Please bid with confidence!!
