She collected dolls over the last 83 years. She SMOKED... lol, I always wanted to say that , for all you people who list from a smoke free environment, I couldn't resist. My mother became quite ill over the last several months, and is recuperating, but she was a stubborn women and she did it her way which is how we have arrived at this sale. When I walked into her house, the collecting of dolls had reached a new height that only those that have stepped over the edge can appreciate. Her house was a disaster, and over the last 4 months, i have literally sorted through over 10,000 dolls, and I'm not kidding, if anything I am underestimating the number of dolls within her home. Let me just say those of us who have spent time collecting have met people or, are people that realize the only thing that is perceived as an issue, is the need form more space to put all the things we continue to acquire. How did this happen? Mom was a child of the depression and only had a Shirley Temple Look alike doll, and spent a great part of her life trying to fill that void. But did she?
