1928 Motorcycle courier to air mail. SIGNED due *e

Cover sent from Westfield, Massachusetts March 15, 1928 This was service where Indian motorcycles couriered mail to Hartford, Ct. to transfer to the air mail there.  Only 2.696 pieces of mail sent from Westfield on this service and the courier signed this cover.  Reverse of cover has nice purple handstamp depicting motorcycle and aircraft and backstamps of both New York, NY and Albany on March 16. Cover has better franking and oddly was underpaid by 2c and postage due stamps applied.     SEE SCAN....
