This auction offers an old needlepoint that is dated 1929 (in needlepoint) at the bottom. With the wood frame, it measures approx. 18" x 13 1/2". The saying is:
Friendship's A Name to Few
Confind, the Offspring of
A Noble Mind A Generous
Warmth which Fills the
Breast and Better felt
Than e'er Exprest
R E H
Frame shows wear, but is in solid condition. Needlepoint is done in browns, blacks, blues and whites - no stains seen, but could probably use cleaning. Nails are intact that hold the board backing and there is an old wire that runs from one side to the other to hang.
Insurance not required, but is recommended.
This needlepoint is an estate find. As with all my auctions, you are buying it in "as is" and "as found" condition.
