DATE PRINTED: 1930 (based on print date of book).

ORIGIN: Map was removed from the book"The Dominions Office and Colonial Office List for 1930"

SIZE: 6 3/4 inches x 3 3/4 inches.

CONDITION: Map is in good condition. Map is blank on the reverse.

DESCRIPTION: This rare map depicts towns and principal roads. Information on the map states that it was created by the Survey Department in 1929.

HISTORICAL NOTES: The island of Pemba known as 'Al Jazeera Al Khadra' (the green island, in Arabic) is an island forming part of the Zanzibar archipelago, lying off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. It is situated about 50 kilometres to the north of the island of Zanzibar. In the 1960s Zanzibar was united with the former colony of Tanganyika to form Tanzania.
