The intrensient interest in popular decorative and applied art of Uzbekistan, and its historical and cultural role are defined by fact that, just as in epos, music, poetry and dances, reflected are the inmost popular traits, its aesthetic stand, style, disposition and talent. The traditional principles of applied art of the Uzbeks and other peoples of Uzbekistan are based on ornamentalism, flatness, conditionality or portrayal which sometimes reaches the stage of sylization, and magnificent colouring. The colors are always pure and contrasting, without playing, but even the colors, which form the greatest contrast, match well. Popular traditions of art are extremely stable, and , although they change along which the living conditions of the people, they have not lost their national content. High skill in subordinating the composition of the pattern and its scale to the diverse forms of articles tells on designing the small original headdress - skull-caps.
