In the early part of 20th Century Orange growers needed a way for markets to identify their particular fruit from the rest of the competition. Fruit growers and exporters commissioned famous artist to make beautiful labels to try and make their product stand out. Many of the labels reflect events, people and areas that were popular during this time. These original antique labels are beautiful for framing and always a conversation piece.
A very rare label.
Amazing label with picture of Don Gasper de Portola whom was an explorer that the King of Spain sent to find Monterey Bay in 1769. He was unsuccessful.
