1930'S HUGE WOOD JOINTED PINOCCHIO & JIMINY CRICKET - eBay (item 300223379578 end time May-18-08 15:54:32 PDT)

I will be listing some nice Disney toys today. This auction is for a wonderful, old pair of wood jointed figures by Ideal Doll Co. They were made in the 1930's and they are a fabulous pair to display. This is the HUGE Pinocchio. He is 19" tall and is correctly proportioned with the 9" Jiminy Cricket. Neither of them is perfect as they both show some age. Pinocchio is great but does have crazing on the back of his head and ears. Jiminy shows spots of paint loss. Pinocchio has all of his chest tag and it says, "Pinocchio by Walt Disney and Ideal Toy & Novelty Co." and Jiminy has a foot tag and it says everything the same except for Jiminy Cricket instead of Pinocchio. The back of Pinocchio's neck says, "CPWD and Ideal Doll Co. and Made in USA". I love Pinocchio's big hands and Jiminy's great wood and felt hat. They have been in my collection for a very long time. I am setting an extremely fair reserve for this outstanding pair.
