Circa 1930s, made in Canada, this three color porcelain enamelled metal palm press or push plate measures 6 1/4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide and has the old dark solid brass grommets in the mounting holes. The grommets are showing appropriate aging with light oxidation. It has a very small factory yellow porcelain scribble on the bottom left red porcelain background. It also has 2 small chips on the left side edge and 1 small, stained crack on the right side edge (see pictures). Overall, this uncommon vintage Coke palm press is in shiny clean, excellent condition. Listed with a reasonable reserve of $425, so do not miss out!

Please note the additional pictures of the small chips on either end of the press. Also note that the press has a very slight wow (i.e. does not lie completely flat). This is how it came out of the factory as there are no signs of stess on the porcelain as there would be if it had happened after manufacture.

 Q: Hi Highwood, The back of this palm press seems diferent from the others I have seen. This seems to have a pot metal backing to it where others are just pressed metal. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks Dean
A: Hi Dean, I don't think this palm press is made of pot metal. It feels like and appears to be steel. The back is somewhat rough (an even texture) with a whitish finish. According to my consignor it is old and original.... Continue reading
