1930's Sweet Vintage German Paper-Mache Character Doll

Description:

Sweet antique Paper-Mache German character doll.

Paper-Mache socket head with painted features, open/cloth mouth showing two upper teeth, full blonde mohair wig, straw stuffed cloth torso with crier on back, solid composition lower arms, and hollow paper-mache lower legs.

She is dressed in a beautiful vintage light blue pique dress with printed flowers and leaves, white collar with red embroidery flowers and white cotton pantaloons.

Ink stamped "Germany" on shoulder plate. Made in Germany, circa 1920/1930s.Kammer und

13-½ inches (34.3 cm) height.

Condition:
Absolutely original and complete doll, slightly rubbed cheeks, retouched paint on lower legs. Non functioning crier. Otherwise, very fine to excellent overall condition. Display stand not supplied.
