1930s W S George PINK PETALWARE Oval Serving Bowl

Offered for auction: A pretty oval serving bowl from W.S. George, in the design called Petalware in a rich pink glaze (replacements.com item 28212).

This vintage piece measure 9 inches long across the ends and 7 inches wide at the middle; the sides are 1.75 inches high.

The bowl is in good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are very light utensil marks. There are some rough scuff spots and scratches around the rim on one side (photo at right, orange arrows).

The piece is stamped on the bottom with a mark that reads W.S. George / Made in U.S.A. / 178 B.
