Fabulous Print of a Signed Photo from
1933 All Star Baseball Team in Japan
Babe Ruth, Lou Gerhig, Connie Mack, Jimmy Foxx, Earl Averll, Frank O'Doul, Lefty Gomez, Charlie Gehringer, John Quinn(Umpire) and dozens more
The story of this print is very interesting. If you have read Moe Berg's book, "The Catcher was a Spy", you know the first part of the story. This autographed photo was nicer than the one Moe had pictured in his book. Signed by every US and Japanese players along with Moe's autograph in both English & Japanese. This picture is insribed to "Leo" from Doc Ebbling of Philadelphia (apparently the trainer on the trip-he's pictured & signed also) and was obtained from the collection of Tommy Richardson who was a baseball celebrity from around Williamsburg, PA. This specific print was made in the late 1970s shortly after the original photo was obtained and it's unlikely that many of these have been seen in over 20 years! Printed the same size as the original, 10" x 13", and in very good to excellent condition- would look great framed on your wall and guanteed to be an interesting coversation piece!
