This Model is OUT OF PRODUCTION

The Pierce Silver Arrow was designed for the Chicago World's Fair.  It was actually designed by Phil Wright in General Motor's Art & Colour Section.  When Phil went to Pierce, he took the design with him.  As it turned out, it was way ahead of its time and only 5 were actually built.  Some of the pioneering ideas that eventually became industry standards were recessed door handles, integrated headlights and fenders, concealed spare tires, and fastback body styling.

Danbury Mint did this model in 1987 and it was a mainstay until just a few years ago.  As an early model it lacks most of today's bonus features, but it is a standout car none-the-less.  That swing-out door in the right front fender hiding the spare tire is really terrific. Interestingly, the trunk and rear doors don't open.  There were a few prototypes that are known as “operating trunk” cars but they are few and far between and command upwards of $2000 when they become available.   The 1933 Silver Arrow looks like a future concept car, not a car of its day.  It is a must for the collector.   

This car is in MINT CONDITION and was never displayed.   It comes packed in the Styrofoam Liner and Outer Box.  Paperwork includes the Certificate of Title and Care and Use Instructions.  Don't miss this terrific car.  You won't be disappointed.
