We
have more than 690,000 notes in our collections, all USA paper money, some of
which are errors and uncut sheets that do not exist anymore and some of those
belong to private collectors and investors. Some of them are just unique or
extremely rare which are not for sale or are never put on eBay. We may not have
the most expensive notes in the world but for sure we guarantee that we have the
widest selections of USA PAPER MONEY NOTES in the world, more than 690,000
notes.
Our prices:
1. if the
notes are graded; Our entire graded notes prices are based on
a) the
reputation of the grading company
b) the
rarities, conditions and serial # of the notes.
So it
is very hard to believe that the reputation of the grading company is even more
important than the rarities and etc. of the note.
Even
most of the collectors still don't know that if you buy a note with CGA holder
66 $2.00 1896 educational for $6,600.00 (FR#247)item #330034789635,the seller
was lttlst1 and the buyer was mcpof, and the transaction was done Oct.03 2006 @
15:39:39PDT, that doesn't mean you can buy
the same note with the same FR# and condition and grade 66 in RCGS in the exact
same number holder and FR# but just different grading company RCGS the same
price item #200032031565, the seller was certified-assets and the buyer was
b-e-p-collectibles, and the transaction time was on Oct.04 2006 @ 20:51:28PDT.
This
note was sold in CGA 66 holder for just $6,600.00 and the exact same note was
sold in RCGS 66 holder for $10,000.00. This is a $3,500.00 difference or 50%
extra.
Do you really think the "buyer" was so naive or un-familiar with the
prices !
Someone
pays for the same note $3,500.00 or 50% extra just like that without even
thinking about it !
The
buyer knows what its paying for.
The
same note was sold on PMG and PCGS holder for more than DOUBLE....WOW!!!
This is more than double for the same note. People know what they are doing.
Mistakes could happen one time only, there is no way every collector makes
mistakes. If someone makes mistakes, that doesn't mean everyone makes mistakes.
Some Collector don't even know a note could be untouched at all but its not well
centered, this kind of note however is not touched by human being could never be
graded as a premium Gem (because its not well centered).
Even some of the collectors think GEM un-circulated conditions is just GEM! They
don't know GEM condition is divided by 6 different groups and numbers.
1)
70/premium Gem 2) 69/ultra Gem 3) 68/super b
Gem
4) 67/Gem
new 5) 66/Gem un-circulated 6) 65/Gem
65 is considered Gem as well as 70, but 6 numbers different. Did you know that?!!
This is
making tremendous effect to the value of the note. SACAGAWEA (golden dollar) $1
2000S is selling with PCGS holder 70 (deep cameo) on eBay from 2400 to 2700 item
#8401554063 and the seller was trustedtraditions.com and the buyer was a private
buyer.
That
exact same coin ($1 2000S ) in SGC holder is selling less than $4.00 item # This
is almost 1000 times more!!! Would you believe this?! I really don't think the buyer who pays for the same coin but in only PCGS holder 1000 times more
expensive, is not educated about the prices!!! This is a huge difference,
please don't believe us just like that and ask some real professional collector.
When it
comes to paper money even a dot ( . ) would consider and make a huge effect to
the value of the note, that's the real fact.
2) If the
notes are not graded, its based on the rarities, conditions, serial #, seal and
all the other details of the note (for example FR#,serial #, years, signs, number of printed
issues, state, city, bank and etc.)
You
really can't judge the value of the currency based on green sheet and FR# book.
"ERROR, FREAK NOTES"
From time to time through human
or mechanical failure, unusual notes have been printed and issued. This
accidents have taken different forms, since the bureau of engraving and printing
is most strict in the inspection and release of the finished currency, and will
not issue any notes that are imperfect in any way.
Error Notes are issued due to
something unusual happened in the process of printing. Something un intentional
happens to the notes or an accident happens. Some of the Error Notes are
even rarer than rare notes.
Each one of the Error Notes is
unique by itself. Because they were not done intentionally, you have to remember
that they were "ERROR" notes. The Treasury didn't design them like that.
Some of the Errors that have
occurred in the past are as follows:
a) without seal or seal only
partly showing;
b) serial number missing, or
incomplete or even different on the same note;
c) a white unprinted portion on
a note, where the paper had been accidentally folded;
d) the seal or serial numbers
upside down or printed on the reverse side of the note;
e) the reserve inverted and a
lot of other ways of misprint, incomplete, defect, imperfections.
An extra ordinary error happens
during the process of printing.
