Cathedral Broadcast and Police Band Tube Radio

The Model 120 has RCA's 6 tube 120 volt AC Superheterodyne chassis, covering the standard broadcast band (AM) from 540 - 1500 kc and 1400 - 2800 kc a higher frequency & police band, a pentode output tube for extra power, continuously variable tone control, automatic volume control, electro-dynamic speaker and illuminated station dial.

   The Cabinet features a Two Tone Figured Walnut Front Panel with a beautiful sculpted design.

Tube complement as follows :

 58 (R.F.) , 2A7(Oscillator/1st detector), 58 (I.F.), 2B7 (2nd detector, AVC), 2A5 (audio pentode output) and 80 (rectifier).

About the Cabinet .

 The wood cabinet has been stripped, lightly sanded, given a coat of natural oil stain, grain has been sealed, toner lacquered to it's original shades and given a minimum of 8 coats of clear lacquer. Finally it is sanded with silicone carbide sandpaper and hand rubbed to a satin luster with several pumice compounds. Grille cloth is a new exact replica installed on a new backer board . The Escutcheons and Knobs are original and in excellent condition. Felt washers have been installed behind the knobs to help prevent scratching the finish.  

The radio measures 13" long, 9 1/2" deep, and stands 15 1/2" tall.

About the Radio

     The electronics have been thoroughly gone through. Tubes, resistors replaced as needed, all filter, bypass and coupling capacitors have been replaced, new replica cloth covered power cord, plug is original and in very good condition, tuner has been cleaned and lubricated. Volume control, band switch and tone control have also been cleaned. Dial scale is clean and clearly legible with no fading, New dial lamp has been installed. This radio has been aligned for maximum sensitivity and receives many stations with a short length of wire, a 10 foot length of Beldin indoor antenna wire is included. A longer wire antenna could be used if you prefer greater distance of reception. Speaker is original and in excellent condition with very good sound quality.

This radio will be securely packaged to insure it will be received in the same condition it was sent.
