eBay store listing. This isn't a traditional auction, instead of bidding, this has an asking price which we'll take or people can make an offer against it which we review. Because I have to use Buy it Now on these, I set them to require approval to bid - it's the only way to keep scam artists from ending the listing (eBay makes it real tough to get the fees back). So if you're interested in this item, please shoot me an email before you try to offer or buy it. Thanks for your understanding.
Speaking of understanding, eBay adds the first couple lines above because they don't understand motor vehicle sales or repair and wish to force people to use the $40 a shot, $50 more if it sells, flat-fee auto categories loaded with endless deadbeat bidders. By their definition of a parts car no vehicle could be listed in this category. The irony is they'd get more in fees on every vehicle that sells over about $2000, through this category, and that's what eBay is all about - the money, not the sellers that are it's customers, not the buyers, not any of the people.
Vintage Stock Car: This 1935 Ford Coupe raced in Virginia in the 1950s, history is unknown, so the story goes it may have belonged to the Wood Bros. but it could just as easily be just a story. Body was not cut or welded up, doors open, rolls, steers, has complete engine and trans. We do have parts cars with some of those pieces available seperately. Has floors, not sure how good they are. Motor is set up. This would make an easy project if you want to build a stock car, or for more work could be restored or rodded. We do have parts cars with fromt clips available. Price reflects what the owner feels it's worth to him; patch panels or not it's tough to find these in this area that weren't long ago cut down to just the shell.
Terms of sale: All cars are sold AS-IS. These are old cars and many have rust issues, they can have problems which are not apparent without a more detailed inspection and as such we may not be aware of the issues. Any prospective buyer is welcomed to make an appointment to come inspect a car in person prior to buying. Nonrefundable deposit of 10% or $500 whichever is greater due within 7 days. Must be paid in full or arrangements made within 14 days. 30 days storage is included to give you plenty of time to arrange to get the vehicle. We're flexible with weather concerns particularly in the winter; storage on paid cars can be arranged in advance for $50 per month, but if a buyer can't be contacted or is unable to make suitable arrangements, $10 per day storage fees will be applied against the amount that's been paid on the car. We're not unreasonable, but we do need to run this as a proper business.
How to pay: Check, cash in person, money order(s).
NOTE: Cashiers checks only accepted for the exact amount of the transaction. They must be able to be verified by the issuing bank before being accepted.

eBay forces me to include this redundant and confusing statement in this listing - their words, not mine: “This vehicle is being sold for parts only and is not operational or street legal. Therefore, upon purchase, it will need to be either towed or trailered. eBay encourages its members to learn about their state laws governing vehicle sales prior to the sale or purchase of a vehicle.”
