This MODEL was Discontinued

In the earliest days, before there was a Franklin Mint or Danbury Mint, there was Precision Mint.  This 1935 Mercedes Benz 500 K is significant as it represents the birth of the high-end die-cast model industry.  This particular model is one of the original issues and is quite significant as a collector item. The Certificate of Authenticity is in German, making this a rare model indeed.  1:24 Precision Die-cast Replicas, later to become Franklin Mint started with this model.  It cost $90.00 way back in 1984, a high price for a die-cast back then. 

The Mercedes 500K was long, lean and mean and represented its owners well, showing wealth, taste and style.  Even as an early die-cast this is still a highly presentable model.  Exterior detailing is great with good fit and finish.  There is a chrome instrument panel and a wonderful "Kompressor" engine complete with ignition wiring, something Franklin Mint stopped offering until just a few years ago.  The delicate exterior trim is foil as were most of the early models.  It is all in perfect condition on this model.  

This car is in MINT CONDITION and probably was never displayed.  It comes packed in the Styrofoam Liner and Outer Box which is the ORIGNAL PACKING.  There is no Hang Tag, (probably not offred on this early version.   Paperwork includes the Certificate of Authenticity Printed in German.  Don't miss this terrific car.  You won't be disappointed.
