1936 Framed Needlepoint Gobelin, SAMPLER, House Shabby Street
- Here is a very interesting goblin
- It was made in 1936 by somebody called Mildred
- This goblin represents an ode to the house on Shabby Street and the area, where probably the author used to live
- The frame looks to be original to the piece
- A fellow e-bayer informed us that the text is actually a verse from a poem of Christopher Morley, obviously fashionable at the time this sampler was made
- Measurements: Approx. 15" X 12" without the frame; 0.5" thickness of the frame
- Condition: VG+/Excellent overall; Please, see photos
