[catalog, instruction & promo booklet for Alabama-made cotton planter machines & fertilizer distributors]

as well as one illustration of their fertilizing machine or fertilizer broadcaster:

The machines are priced and well described.
Catalog is printed on wood pulp paper which has begun to brown but it is holding up well and the paper does not feel especially fragile when one turns a page. There is a 1" tear in the bottom margin throughout MOST (but not all) of the book:

Otherwise good and sound:

(the fine print ... [sigh] ... but please read :-)
WE REGRET WE DON'T SHIP OUT OF USA; SORRY, BUT NO EXCEPTIONS. Buyer pays $3.95 for cardboard & plastic-protected 1st class mail with POSTAL INSURANCE; all bidders should base bids on paying this: we will have a level playing field. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. We're HONEST & tell you this FIXED CHARGE up front allowing you to adjust your top bid downward so that you end up paying the same total in the end. If not willing to pay this charge, then we respectfully ask - please - DO NOT BID. If you WANT to save $$: multiple wins from us earn postal discounts. To benefit from that, click on "See Seller's Other Auctions" link above, just under & to right of our name.
Now that I'm finally offering paypal, please pay promptly: Winner's payment should reach me within 7 days; eBay wants to be notified of slow- or non-payers soon thereafter so NON-PAYING BIDDER ALERTS ARE FILED ON THE 8th day following the auction IF I'VE HAD NO CONTACT FROM YOU SINCE AUCTION'S END. That gives you just 7 more days to pay without a NPB strike. Delayed? Then email me - I'll try to work with you when necessary but please don't expect me to do so in a vacuum.
Personal checks ok but delay shipping 10 days. IF YOU PAY WITH CHECK, ALLOW UP TO 18 (9 for the banks, 9 for the mails) DAYS BETWEEN DAY YOU MAIL CHECK TO THE DAY TO EXPECT PACKAGE.
PLACING A BID IS THE ETHICAL EQUIVALENT OF ACCEPTING THESE TERMS. PLEASE DON'T ASK TO ALTER THEM AFTERWARDS. In return, as our feedback clearly shows, we'll get your item(s) to you, as described, in a safe, timely manner. Thanks!

Then please do yourself a favor and click on the

Thinking of bidding on a copy of STARS FELL ON ALABAMA by Carl Carmer? That's another Alabama book about which ebayers are often misled or misinformed:
Do yourself a another favor and - again - click on the

GENUINE "Second chance offers"
One of my longtime ebay customers was recently bilked out of $500 with a fraudulent "Second Chance Offer" spoof email. Here again, learn how to protect yourself - you are important to me and I don't want my bidders to be taken advantage of. I do sometimes use the second chance offer on ebay but only rarely do so with expensive items.
If I make a genuine Second Chance Offer to you of a duplicate or unsold item, I always want you to double-check the offer by writing to me via the "ask seller a question" link on the ebay auction page and NOT by hitting "reply" on the email you got with the "Second Chance Offer." Further I will NEVER ask you to pay via cash transfer of any kind. I actually prefer to be paid by personal check. Thirdly, on a genuine second chance offer you will be asked - if you accept the offer - to send your check to me at zipcode 35201-0313 and NEVER, EVER to any other zipcode!
GOVERN YOURSELVES ACCORDINGLY!
