Illustrated with Vintage Engravings such as a Pistol Duel over Whiskey, , Several scenes of Blacks playing Banjo, Serving Drinks, Playing Cards etc and has a 2 page Color Section showing 14 different Whiskey Bottles such as: Old Oscar Pepper, Old Baker, Wolf Creek, Four Roses, Paul Jones, Broad Ripple, Kentucky Velvet, Meadville etc. Tells how to prepare all kinds of Mixed Drinks such as: Fixes, Punches, Slings, Smashes, Cobblers, Flips, Toddies, Milk & Egg Drinks, Fizzes, Collinses, Daisies, Highballs, Juleps, Sours, Rickeys, Cocktails and on and on. Tells about the History of Whiskey and Bourbon in America, That the Yankees started the Civil War by going down South and putting Nutmeg in a Julep, Use of Whiskey during the Civil War, History and info on Frankford Distilleries of Louisville, Kentucky and Baltimore, Maryland and all kinds of info on the Fine Art of Making Whiskey and Mixed Drinks. A Lot of Old Time Southern Humor and a lot of useful info. Top front cover has F-9 written in ink and 2 more numbers were inked out far left front cover. Had an old paper clip on a few back pages that left small indentations on top of these pages and small light stains both covers. Inside pages are mostly okay and this is still a nice Reference Book for anyone who wants to learn how to make a Nice, Old Fashioned Mixed Drink.
