Notes: Wordie's party sets out with the geographical objective of Ellesmere Island and 'Baffin Land' or Lancaster Sound but preceding that journey was the more significant undertaking of high altitude cosmic ray investigations in West Greenland, the proposed method for which involved the lifting of the essential apparatus by two freely floating balloons, each eight feet in diameter. Also features exploration of Disko Island; Nûgssuak Peninsula; Ryder Islands and Melville Bay; Cary Islands; Thule; Buchanan Bay and Bache Peninsula; Jones Sound and North East Baffin Land. Includes descriptions of encounters with the 'Cape York Eskimo,' or 'Polar Eskimo;' investigation of abandoned Eskimo sites reported by various travellers on Ellesmere Island; a geological venture at Bache and surveying of the fjords. Proceeded by a set of interesting conclusions, a discussion involving other Royal Geographical Society members, a 'cosmic ray and meteorological work index,' as well as 'eskimo archaeology' and place names appendices.
