 VERY GOOD GRADE
 PRE-WWII CIRCULATED BANK NOTE!

  • Nice enough blue colored note, with normal honest, albeit moderate circulation
  • Solid detail and pleasant colorful eye appeal for the very good grade with some soiling reverse that adds history and character and a couple small holes center probably from stapling
  • Unique currency note with jugate bust of King Albert and Queen Elizabeth
  • Terrific piece of history from the Banque Nationale de Belgique (the National Bank of Belgium) for any collection!

The scanned images depict this paper money fairly well, but can't due justice to the overall appearance of this 5 Francs Banknote from Belgium, issued in 1938.  Well circulated very good grade banknote with very even borders, adequate even color, but moderate to heavy wear from honest handling while in circulation. Lots of vertical and corner folds and normal wrinkles keep this one very good grade, with a couple of holes center that were probably made by stapling at some point. This is a well-circulated note but complete and corners are intact. Obverse depicts unique jugate bust of King Albert and Queen Elizabeth left. Reverse depicts man sitting overlooking valley. If you can live with the moderate to heavy circulation you could get a great bargain pre-World War II note for most European or World currency collections. This item was part of my husband's collection. He is terminally ill with cancer and wants me to sell all of his private collection, coins and currency. I have three minor children to raise and so I comply.
