This one-of-a-kind money clip is a handsome piece; one you may not find created into a money clip anywhere else on the Internet, or on eBay.  it is made from a genuine Canadian dollar coin, issued almost 70 years ago.  Item is in stock, ready to ship now.

What you are picturing here is a "cut out coin," a hand-cut creation made by cutting away the coin's background. Like a surgeon, the 'coin surgeon" -- the coin-cutter -- removed the flat surface of the coin while at the same time retaining the main part of the coin's engraving.  As you can see, this fine piece (the is the only one of this fine detail available on the Internet and eBay), is finely done.

Note:  each and every inner rim "notch" is cut out.  Not a smooth cut, but in and around the dozens and dozens of notches.

About the coin's design:

Only 1,363,816 Canadian silver dollars were issued in 1939, commemorating the first cross-country tour of Canada by a reigning monarch – King George VI and his consort Queen Elizabeth.

This building showcases the Centre block, the main building with the Peace Tower, in the middle. The Peace Tower Victoria Tower, as it was originally built in 1859 to 1865. (The Centre Block with the Peace Tower replaced the original Victoria tower, when it was rebuilt after a fire in 1916.)

The Anson-style clip has an inner spring plate, causing pressure against as few as three bill to about a dozen-and-a-half bills, to hold them snug and to the clip, and the clip in your pocket.
