This is a  J-35 Gibson Acoustic.This Guitar was my dads which has been in our family for 57 years +.I had the first three frets replaced and some small divets repaired. There is a small divet [ I believe] on the fourth fret. There is no Serial NO'S just the no 11 in red ink. I have sent Photos of it to Gibson and Gruhn Guitar.Both confirmed that it was a J 35.Gruhn Guitars comfirmed the date to  be 1940 to 1942. This Guitar is 68 years old so of course the body has wear, but the sound is excellent. This is Truly  a collectors item. Has you can see in the pics there is wear on the back from a belt buckle {dad wore a big buckle with silver dollars attached to it ].The front also has scratches. There is a hair line crack on one of the inside ladder braces.I believe that was from climate changes. There are no cracks or holes in body.HERE IS REPLY  From GRUHN GUITAR   This guitar shows significant playing wear, but appears to be original, with the exception of a strap button installed on the heel of the neck and a replaced truss rod cover. It conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made, with round-shouldered dreadnought size body, spruce top, mahogany neck, back, and sides, Brazilian rosewood bridge and fingerboard, white silkscreen script Gibson logo on the peghead, dot fingerboard inlays, tortoiseshell-grain nitrocellulose plastic pickguard, white binding on the top and back edges of the body, and clear “natural” lacquer finish (sunburst was also available as an option on this model.This guitar has deep rich sound and is 100% playable.This is the original hard case inside material is in great shape outside shows tears and scuffs no cracks or holes this is on sturdy case.. I wish I knew what Honky Tonks this guitar spent time in.
