This is an original poster.  I purchased it about 30 years ago.  Very nice condition.  The only other place I have seen an original poster this nice is at the Truman Library here in Independence, Missouri.

Very rare 1940 Franklin Delano Roosevelt Presidential Campaign and Coattails Poster from the State of Missouri featuring Harry S. Truman for Senator!!! This fantastic, multi candidate FDR Campaign Poster measures approx. 11" x 14".  It is printed on card stock in blue and red inks. Union trademark type logo on bottom of poster.  Printed in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Poster promotes the candidacy of the Democrats running for national and statewide office in Missouri. It includes portraits of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (For President), Harry S. Truman (For Senator), Lawrence McDaniel (For Governor), Frank G. Harris (For Lieutenant Governor), Dwight H. Brown (For Secretary of State), Roy Citric (For Attorney General), Forrest Smith (For State Auditor), Wilson Bell (For State Treasurer) and Gorge Robb Ellison (For Supreme Judge). Text at the top of the Poster reads “Vote the Democratic Ticket” and “General Election November 5, 1940”. Text at the bottom of the Poster reads “Elect These Experienced Democrats.”. In the center of the poster is an image of the Statue of Liberty and text that reads “Guard Your Gains in State or Nation”.     The Candidates at the top of this Poster would be the National Democratic Ticket in the 1944 Presidential Election.   It is VERY rare to find portraits of the future Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates on an earlier Campaign Poster.
