Original Thomas E. Dewey Letter with Signature

Letter from Thomas E. Dewey dated May 7, 1940. Letter is typed with Dewey's signature and Thomas E. Dewey Letterhead with name and address. Letter is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, or smudges. See photo for overall condition.

Thomas E. Dewey was elected Governor of New York in 1942. He was the Republican Party presidential nominee in 1944 but lost the election to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Dewey was the Republican presidential nominee again in 1948 but lost the election to Harry Truman.
