1940's Cairns &Brother Fire Helmet with McC FD Badge NR

Here's an old Cairns & Brother firefighter's helmet. Inside, the maker's badge says "New York" which we believe dates the helmet to the 1940's and earlier, prior to the Cairns & Brother company's move to New Jersey. The helmet is made of aluminum, and painted black. The front of the helmet has a Cairns-marked badge with McC FD on it. We do not know the name of the town the helmet is from. The helmet has paint chips all over it and a few small dings. The hanging loop is still attached. The liner is in good shape but has an edge stain. The size of the helmet is unknown, we'd guess it is a medium size. Selling this old veteran fire helmet with no reserve, buyer pays shipping. Check our seller's list for lots of neat old stuff!
