This drummer's swivel throne was one of several styles popular in the 1940s.
They were supplied to all drum manufacturers - one style or another is listed in all their catalogs.
It does not have a manufacturer's name on it - the drum companies did not put their name on it either.
Leedy listed it as a "Drummer's Swivel Throne, No. 7272." A backrest was optional.
This particular model has the original naugahyde padded seat.
It has the mount holes for a backrest, but none was ever attached.
Other models had a bicycle type wood seat or a padded fabric covered seat.
The nickel plating is pretty much worn off the stand and seat brace, but it is all original.
The up/down adjusting tube is hard to move, but can be persuaded if desired.
