Greetings from the beautiful mountains of Vermont and welcome to my auction:  You will be bidding on a beautiful old Children's book "FAVORITE STORY BOOK" Published in 1941 .  ( It is marked in roman numerals 1934-1941) I have had little success in researching this book.  It looks like it is a compilation of favorite stories from  1934 to 1941.  The book  is in good vintage condition with some yellowing to the pages, a little wear to the cover edges and it looks like a binding repair.?  This is from the Estate of a southern Vermont  Rare book collector and has been well cared for.  The cover has the Pide Piper with his merry band of children.  This book has a  plesant ending and the children are returned after the Town People have paid their debt.  There are 55  short stories and many illustrations by Ethel Bonney Taylor.    This is a great book to ad to a collection of  vintage Childrens Books.   The Book is filled with all the old favorites that will bring back memories for many.  I had to smile when I saw " A Real Princess" the things kids do!! I do remember putting a pea under my mattress, but it didn't work??     This will be a favorite for Generations to come.     The book is 253 large print pages.          I  Briefly -- I have a SMOKE & PET FREE home!  I scour the world over for the unique items sold here on Ebay. Once in awhile, I will get something from a smoker, or a pet owner! I ALWAYS do my best to describe the item to the best of my abilities.
