World famous photographer Kurt Hielscher captured the true essence of Spain featuring stunning buildings, landscapes, combined with a rich culture and fascinating people. These 65 year old prints are an amazing example of the craftsmanship, effort & preservation of many talented & caring people. They were produced for your enjoyment and would look stunning preserved in a frame, adorning a special place in your home. Condition: This print is in exceptional condition with no surface rub, tears, stains or fading. Although the scan provides a fair view it in no way compares to the intricate lines and high detail of the original print. There is a border included with this image The print also contains a description of the subject in four languages directly below the print on the border.*Please note that this print may have an image on the reverse side."Photogravure" is highly unique, labor intensive and rarely used form of printing from a copper intaglio plate etched according to a photographic image. It produces high detail and an array of tones that is unique to this process producing outstanding results. The images have been meticulously preserved and cared for since their origin in 1942. We have provided detailed scans in an attempt to give you an accurate feel of the quality of the imagery that the printers & original artists have provided but in most cases the scans don’t do justice to the original prints. We are your international source for vintage advertising art, Interior design imagery, authentic period illustrations, collectible photographic images and a wide variety of other captivating paper ephemera. Weather your an interior designer, academic collector, historical enthusiast or just someone who wants to give the perfect gift .....we are here to serve! My name is Bob Votava and I started Flat America as a hobby on Ebay back in 2000. I live in Washington state, USA and have really enjoyed meeting new people and selling prints all over the globe. Flat America has sold prints from as close as our home town in Eastern Washington to as far away as Europe, Japan & New Zealand. Meeting new customers and making friends in the U.S. and abroad has been one of the greatest highlights & rewards of the business. I have a long history in the photographic industry. My family was been in the print business since the early 1950's. I was part of the business in a variety of capacities from counter help to processor to buyer to president. Although I left the industry years ago my love for these images never diminished. Flat America has been my way to stay plugged in to what I love to do. Locate, buy and sell unusual and unique hard copy imagery to people that it has great meaning to. I find myself in Late 2008 wanting to make this hobby much more... You may have noticed our new web presence and design. I also recently attended Ebay live in Chicago, and we have purchased a variety of high tech gadgets such as a digitally controlled, self contained copy studio to provide our customers with the best previews and most realistic look at their potential purchase. We are also busy processing thousand of items for our store and auctions. We are excited at what we will be able to offer from the large collections that I have acquired over the years. We are working very hard to have the transition complete by the Holiday season & greatly look forward to providing our customers with one of the easiest, most pleasant & memorable shopping experiences on the web! I am extremely fortunate to have the help and guidance of a variety of industry experts in this endeavor. My Father Bill and Mom Barbara have over 100 years combined experience in the photographic, studio, print wholesale and retail industry. My brother Paul and his wife Maria are in charge of recording, listing and archiving the coming images. Paul has worked in the industry on and off for most of his life. He has owned and operated labs and photo studios in Spain & America and has the rare ability to be efficient and artistic simultaneously. He is a tech wizard which I am greatly thankful for as well. His wife Maria is a true artist and a model of efficiency. She has worked in the photographic industry for years, is an excellent print artist & photographer.
