This is a dramatic ORIGINAL WW II advertisement for Republic Steel of Ohio featuring a clipping from the "Cleveland Plain Dealer", which describes how a bomber was badly shot up, but the crew was unhurt. The ad explains how Republic produces "Aircraft Quality" alloy steel for aircraft armor plating for combat safety. The ad measures about 10 x 13 inches and was taken from a 1943 issue of "Saturday Evening Post" magazine. It is in excellent shape with no discoloring or wrinkling from age. The scan crops some of the image, but the ad is complete with the magazine title at the top of the page. The colors are bright and sharp, and the ad would look great framed! High bidder pays $3.00 to the USA and Canada. Overseas postage will be $6.00. Please be sure to check out my other items for more original WWII-era ads. I'm always happy to combine items at no extra postage!
