    This auction is for the 1944 address to the Combined Legislature of Indian Problems Today and Tomorrow by then Field Marshal Viscount Wavell, Viceroy and Governor General of India. A historical piece written in the midst of the throes for India Independence, it references the Quit India movement and "the demand for release of those leaders who are in detention is an utterly barren one until there is some sign of their part of a willingness to co-operate". Printed by the Government of India Information Services, it is rarely seen in public possession, most oftimes only in Government or University libraries.
    It is overall in good condition, suffering from some surface/edge wear/bumps as shown in the pictures, slight page toning from age, and the center staples have oxidized. It contains some 12 pages and measures approx. 6" by 9", no writings, names, inscriptions, etc., very few handling marks within exceptions noted above. 
     An extremely rare 65 year old booklet, it will make a superb Gift or addition to your Collection and Library!!
