| This auction is for a 1946 F.E. Olds & Son, Los Angeles, Calif. Super Bb trumpet, serial number 16319. The third valve has the same serial number stamped on it. Highly regarded still today, this horn sold for $240. in '46! Included are a period Reynols case and older Getzen #7 mouthpiece. This trumpet has numerous small dings and dents, the worst being a wrinkle on the top and 2" from the end of the bell. It has a 2-tone finish which may or may not be original, I'm not sure. The valve caps unscrew and most of the sliding tube sections are free. Surely could use restoration, but usable as-is. Rare and desirable early Olds LA Super trumpet.
