CONDITION: new, softcover, crisp and glossy covers, 19 pages, 2009, size: 8.5x11, unabridged, published by Bramcost Publications

Originally published in 1947, this hard-to-find vintage beading book brings together authentic 40s purse and jewelry patterns. Full illustrations and instructions are included for 11 purses using a combination of crochet stitches and sliding beads after stitches in sequence with the instructions. More how-to's for a braid choker, bracelet, knot choker, blouse monogram, fringe earrings, fringe necklace, bead collar, two-tone necklace, two-tone earrings, spiral button or earring, loop earring, sunburst earring, knot botton or earring, hoop earring, medallion earrings, triple necklet, braided necklet, chatelaine, rope choker, wrap-around necklace and frog fasteners are included and are worked in either crochet or wire with beads slipped in.

In addition to pattern instructions, the back of the book illustrates in detail how to crochet with beads and two ways of stringing beads for jewelry.

International Orders: AIRMAIL (approx 5-10 business days): Shipping charge is $5.50 to Canada and Mexico, $8.50 to all other countries. Each additional item is $2.00.

The owner of Bramcost began her career as a marketing director and graphic artist with a love of books that blossomed into owning and operating a small gently used bookstore over a decade ago -- which grew into a large bookstore.
