This is a 6-page feature, Mexico City - The continent's oldest metropolis hurries into cement, chrome and neon, with drawings by Jose Bartoli. The author and the photographer are not named. Illustrations include: all the great historic struggles of Mexico have revolved around this square in the capital known as the Zocalo - from the Aztecs on, whoever has held the square has ruled the country; view of Mexico City's Pasco de la Reforma; Chapultepec Park; the Presidential Palace; Palace of Fine Arts; "The Man' in The Alameda park; Churubusco Monastery; parking is a problem; richly adorned vestments on display in the museum to the rear of the cathedral; during unusually warm weather farmers on the way home from the markets have the practice of bathing their horses in the canals and lakes around the city; Indian peddlers, outside leading hotels; prices of produce are generally lower in Mexico than the US; street venders offer corn on the cob prepared on the curb; statue in The Alameda, "The Woman", symbolizes the once low estate of women in Mexico; venders of spicy pictures hawk their wares to the tourist trade; wherever in the capital there is tourist trade, there are beggars; teatime at Sanborn's; horseback riding and roping in cowboy fashion and in costume are popular among well-to-do men and women in the city; La Mosca Azule (Blue Fly) - one of many inexpensive little night clubs; upscale Ciro's; less pretentious night clubs are good places to hear Mexican music; and an entertainer in action at the Casanova.

Condition: Very good with light foxing. There are small holes where the staple were removed. There may be rust stains where staples were removed. The pages may have small edge tears, folds, crinkling, or creases, especially at the bound edge. There may be some dirt, stains, or production marks/smudges on some pages.
