1947 SOUTHERN RAILWAY INTL RAILROAD SILVER COFFEE POT

This auction is for a fabulous Southern Railway dining car covered coffee pot. It has a super streamlined finial on lid. Made by International Silver Co. in 1947 it reads "INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO SILVER SOLDERED SOUTHERN RAILWAY 05090 14 oz 47 PATENT 1637853" on the bottom. It measures 6 1/4" tall by 5 1/4" from spout to handle and it needs a good polish. It has lots of nicks and dings as this was a piece that was actually used in the dining car for many years but it is still quite charming.
