We use the following criteria when grading our vintage ads.
  We will do our very best to give you a thorough and accurate description of the condition of each ad.  Please keep in mind, however, that these are original vintage print ads, not reproductions.  While paper does stand up to time remarkably well if stored properly - most of these ads are very, very old - up to 100+ years old!  Other than the mint/near mint grades, your ad will show some signs of age; adding to their nostalgic appeal.
 
 MINTExtremely rare.  Basically sealed on the day of production and never opened.  Currently, we do not offer any ads with this grade.
 NEAR MINTColor and paper vibrant and well preserved.  Absolutely no visible signs of age or wear to the human eye.  Currently, we have a limited number of ads available with this grade.
 EXCELLENTThe majority of our inventory falls into this category. This grade denotes an ad with very little wear or signs of age.  Clean, unstained, no water damage.  There may be some signs of age such as toning.  No major rips, tears or foxing.  There may be a small flaw, wrinkle, or tear on the outside edge.  However, with proper matting and framing, these minor flaws are easily masked. 
VERY GOOD/GOODThere may be minor signs of age or use such as a few small stains, small rip, or foxing. These flaws are generally limited to the margins and are easily masked with proper matting and framing.  All imperfections will be thoroughly described in the item's condition section.
FAIR: Ads with this grade have various flaws/defects such as light stains, significant toning, foxing, wrinkles, or tears.  All imperfections will be thoroughly described in the items condition section.

  • UNITED STATES:  Shipping cost to the United States is a flat rate of $3.50.  We will ship up to 12 ads, purchased at the same time, with no additional shipping costs to you.  All purchases will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail.  If you require your item to be shipped Priority or Expedited, please contact us so that we can provide you with a corrected shipping cost.
  •  INTERNATIONAL:  We do ship Worldwide!  Shipping cost to all locations outside of the United States is a flat rate of $7.50.  We will ship up to 12 ads, purchased at the same time, at no additional shipping cost to you.  International purchases will be shipped via USPS First Class International mail.  If you require that your purchase be shipped Priority or Expedited, please contact us so that we can provide you with a corrected shipping cost.
  • INSURANCE:  Your vintage ad will be shipped to you with great care, placed in a protective sleeve and backed with sturdy cardboard.  However, if you are concerned about damage or loss during transit, we suggest that you consider purchasing insurance.
