HEEEEEEERE'S JOHNNY!

This auction is a "double threat"! Not only is it a terrific vintage yearbook from the University of Nebraska, it also includes some photos of Johnny Carson!

Up for auction is this 1948 "The Cornhusker" from the University of Nebraska. It is Volume 42. The yearbook is in excellent condition with only minimal edge/spine wear. There is some foxing on the edges. All of the pages are firmly attached and none are ripped, torn or folded. There are NO signatures in this 1948 vintage yearbook.

But what makes this particular yearbook especially desirable are the photos of Johnny Carson. Johnny was a senior in 1948 and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He also represented the men of Phi Gamma Delta in the Kosmet Klub production.

I could find 3 photos of a VERY young Johnny Carson and marked them with pink tabs. I think my favorite was the one in which he appeared in the Kosmet Klub production titled "She Was Only a Pharaoh's Daughter, but She Never Became a Mummy". The photo caption cited Carson as "Cleopatra Carson".

As noted, there are no signatures so Johnny Carson did NOT sign this yearbook. However, the photos are really special. If you're a Johnny Carson fan (and who isn't?), then you won't want to miss out on this truly special 1948 University of Nebraska yearbook!
