Three Flannery O'Connor items here (all complete issues) covering the last 60 years include: The Saturday Review for 24 May 1952 which offers a full column review by Oliver LaFarge of O'Connor's first novel, Wise Blood called "Manic Gloom." LaFarge didn't think too well of "Haze." Nice copy. ALSO The Partisan Review for February 1949 which offers O'Connor's early stroy, "The Heart of the Park." A little soil/spotting to wrappers and edges. Nice internally. AND The London Times Literary Supplement for 11 September 2009 which features most of a full oversize page by Paul Binding on the life and work of O'Connor called "Pure Terror" following the publication of Brad Gooch's A Life of Flannery O'Connor. Nice copy. SEE PHOTO |
