Solid very fine aluminum issue from Post WWII France
Somewhat bright even steel gray
Tons of history and natural character with below average marks for the grade
Terrific piece of Post World War II French history for any collection!

The scanned images depict this coin fairly well, but can't due justice to the overall appearance of this FIVE FRANCS coin from FRANCE, issued in 1949. Unique aluminum coin with even somewhat bright steel gray color and wonderful natural eye appeal for the very fine grade. Hint of attractive gold at very rim edge adds beauty. Solid coin has light even wear and nice eye appeal and features for the grade, and will be a welcome addition to any European collection. Obverse depicts Laureate head of Marianne facing to left. Reverse depicts value within wreath with initials "RF" appearing above. Terrific bit of European history any collection at a bargain price. This item was part of my husband's collection. He is terminally ill with cancer and wants me to sell all of his private collection, coins and currency. I have three minor children to raise and so I comply.
