Up for sale is this 1950 easy chair by famed Danish designer Ib Kofod Larsen produced by Christensen & Larsen.
This piece is a great example of early production of this line of chairs. The first of these to be produced were done so with all solid wood construction. The later models featured either iron or brass framing.
This chair features the striking combination of a solid beech wood frame with teak backrest and seat. The legs make a really nice statement, starting in beech and ending in teak.
This piece would make an excellent additon to any collectors home.
Measurements:21" wide 25" deep 15" seat height 29" back height
We have rated the condition of this piece very good - a 9 out of a perfect 10. The frame is in excellent condition. 4 pen head sized holes in top of seating surface barely noticeable until closely inspected. It appears someone had this the seat upholstered at some point so there are staple holes to underneath of seat. Unoticeable unles you flip the chair upside down. The front legs and stretcher should be reglued.Easily done we thought we would leave that decision up to the next owner as some don't want items of this pedigree messed with at all. Please ask us any questions you may have, we are happy to help and can send additional pics as well.
