Here you are bidding on a super nice vintage Singer black and gold metal portable electric featherweight sewing machine with the original hard case, manual and lots of accessories, ca 1950. We got this at an old Estate Sale. The lady said she got it for her daughter in 1950 and it was only used just a very few times. This is truly a nice Singer feather weight sewing machine and it appears almost new!
Please excuse those white lattice glares and shadows. The sewing machine is in gently used working condition with no chips, cracks, nicks, fading, repairs, or dents. It has a very few minor light surface scratches, but nothing ugly. The sewing machine is shiny black metal with gold designs, says THE SINGER MANUFACTURING CO. on the side, and has the blue and gold tag on the side; A CENTURY OF SEWING SERVICE * THE SINGER MANFG. CO. TRADE MARK * 1851-1951. It also has a working light, comes with the original bobbin / bobbin case, and foot pedal and electrical cord.
This featherweight sewing machine comes with the following: Featherweight sewing machine 221-1, 1950 Singer Instructions 56 page manual book, Outline of Student's Lessons in Singer Sewing Skills, 2 hard case keys, a red piece of material with button holes, (2) E.I. Scallopers Rulers 1 and 3 inch button spacers, complete Singer buttonholer No. 160506 with 4 templates and feed cover plate with screw in the original case, Singer Button holer 30 page manual, Singer Blind stitch attachment # 160616 with thumb screw, Singer Blind stitch 16 page instruction manual, tube Singer Motor Lubricant, 9 needles size 11/14/16, half full tin can of Singer Sewing machine oil, a black metal Feed Dog Cover Plate Simanco 121309 with screw and envelope, a Wear Ever aluminum cooking utensil company 6" measuring thingy (came with machine/not pictured), Simanco flat screwdriver 120378, black Simanco srewdriver 25537, Singer ruffler attachment 120598, Singer adjustable hemmer 35931, Singer Binder 160359, quilting foot 35932, Singer edge stitcher 368865, Singer foot hemmer 120855, Simanco gatherer foot 121441, Simanco part 125035, Singer Seam Zipper foot 121877, and the Singer sewing machine attachments box 160481. All parts were made in the U.S.A.
The motor says: SINGER SEWING MOTOR CAT. 3-120 110-120 VOLTS 0.4 AMP. 25-75 CYCLES AC & DC * TEH SINGER MFG. CO. ELIZABTHEPORT, N.J. MADE IN U.S.A. The bottom has the serial number AJ927097. The hard case is wonderful as well and the inside of the lid has a place to store / display the foot pedal and the side holds the can of oil and accessories. Folks, this is a very nice vintage Singer featherweight sewing machine model 221-1 with all the accessories mentioned above and it would go wonderful in a collection or simply to use. We ship USPS Parcel or Priority mail and Fedex for extra heavy items or box LOTS. Shipping costs are based not only on weight but on the dimensions of the package and the distance from my location in North Carolina. Because of the fragile nature of antiques / collectibles, careful packing is required which may result in a larger packing box as well as increased weight. Insurance and delivery confirmation are reflected as "S&H" fees and is included in the shipping costs. Please know, we NEVER profit from shipping and please feel free to CHECK the USPS labels upon package arrival. We also hope and pray we DON'T get low starred for honest USPS shipping costs and shipments, which we have no control over. Thank you.
