THIS IS A SEVEN-DAY, NO RESERVE, AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE AUCTION.

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL OF THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL, NEW, OR FULLY RESTORED AND RECONDITIONED HIGH GRADE COLLECTIBLE PIPES THAT I HAVE LISTED FOR AUCTION THIS WEEK ON EBAY!

You are bidding on an extremely lightly formerly enjoyed, 1950's Dunhill sandblasted "Shell Briar" series finish classic "Billiard" shaped pipe, with an elegant <AD> sterling silver hallmarked military stem ferule mount. This pipe does not carry a date stamping, either on the bowl or on the sterling silver. I can date the pipe only from years of experience of collecting, handling, restoring, and selling thousands of Dunhill pipes. The sandblasting is of the old craggy style. The wood is obviously Algerian. The stem is of the older higher gloss vulcanite, and the stem is translucent and of the size that was used in the 1950's Dunhills.

Since this pipe was never handled all that much that sandblasting appears in a very close condition to when the pipe was crafted fifty or so years ago. The original stem is in the same fabulous condition. Overall, this amazing prototypically shaped Dunhill Shell Briar Military Billiard is in incredible condition! It is extremly crisp, clean, and mint!

The overall balance feels very nice as does the hand feel. The draft is easy and a pipe cleaner will pass to the bottom of the bowl. This is one well made classic in clean condition! This one is a "for the ages" classic! There are solid reasons why many pipe aficionados consider these early Dunhill Shell patent pipes to be the very best performing pipes that were ever made! This is the "Gold Standard" of our hobby!

This pipe needed only the most superficial of a cleaning and sanitization, since it was in fabulous condition when I had received it.  This pipe is in MINT MINT MINT condition and is ready to deliver immediate enjoyment right out of the box!

Here are the dimensions: The overall length is about 5.25". The bowl height is 1.80". The tobacco chamber is about 080" in diameter, and very gradually tapers down the bowl's 1.55" inner depth. Capacity is similar to a solid Group 4 size Dunhill pipe. This beautiful, crisp, and classic Dunhill pipe weighs only 34 grams.

Once again, this is a seven day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high bidder to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with bidding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high bidder at the close of this auction, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection!

Please read and review my eBay ratings and comments. Check out the "ME" section after my eBay name "coopersark". I think that you will find this information very informative and telling! Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions that you may have about this pipe. I want you to bid with the highest of confidence!

I use only the best of packaging materials. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out. Unfortunately, this all has to be reflected in my shipping costs, so please bid accordingly.

The winning bidder will include an additional $10.00 for Priority Mail shipping, tracking, and insurance. (Foreign bidders will remit payment by Pay Pal ONLY and will include an additional $12.00 for International Air Mail shipping. Thank you for your interest. Please do not forget to check out my other auctions! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
